I'm watching The Crown.

 I've gotten into reading tabloids and stuff about the Royal Family so I've decided to finally watch all the seasons of The Crown considering clips of it are half of my YouTube-recommended videos. I will be watching half of each season a week and since there are four seasons and eight weeks, it should work out. I will also be reading about the Royal family on the side and including historical accuracy in my ratings. Root for your favorite royal and come along for the ride!

    I am very excited to hear your takes on this. I've seen the first, like, 1.5 seasons but drifted away from it eventually. Maybe I'll try going back to it so we can discusssssssss

Week 2 :)

I finished Season 1 this week! Election Day was great - I spent my morning in bed watching episodes of The Crown before the polls started rolling in and I went downhill. Anyways... I actually loved the second half of Season 1. Vibes are definitely immaculate and the plot is definitely getting more complex. Central to these episodes is the relationship between Queen Elizabeth's sister, Margaret, and the man that she's in love with, Peter Townsend. There's a whole lot of "drama" here about acts that prohibit their marriage and other stuff concerning not just the marriage but Margaret's personality and how men don't like feisty women that I won't get into too much here (maybe you should watch to find out!) Also, you may have noticed, I call her Queen Elizabeth - she does get coronated during this season which was fun to watch. It's Week 4 but I'm on Season 3

'ello everyone, I'm still on my journey of watching The Crown and I'm not going to lie, I'm both fed up with it at this point but I'm also still excited for what's next. Anyways, let's get into it! So this season covered a pretty big swath of time. I definitely felt like there wasn't as much of a balance of world politics and family politics that there was in Season 2 and we learned a lot about the various love triangles and Relationship Problems ® that various members of the Royal Family was going through during this time. We also see a lot of the Queen's children as they grow up, which was interesting although I'm not sure how accurate it is. I'm going to finish the season this week after I'm done with another wave of college apps .

Week 1: Overrated!?!?

 Heya, so I watched around half of the first season this week (4 episodes) and I'm not going to lie, this is not my favorite show so far. Here's a bit of a synopsis of what I've watched so far (I don't know if this qualifies as spoilers but spoiler alert ig if you plan on watching this): - Princess *not Queen yet* Elizabeth and Prince Phillip get married... her family isn't too happy about this but they have a nice wedding. Her dad's health is declining. Winston Churchill shows up to her wedding and everyone is clearly more occupied with politics since Churchill is really salty he didn't win the reelection. - Churchill gets reelected and King Edward has lung cancer but doesn't tell his family. His health is very much declining though and eventually, he dies :( - Elizabeth and Phillip travel all over the Commonwealth to set themselves up to take their place.
