Season 5

I know I didn't finish reviewing Season 3 but I'm quite done with this show so I decided to skip to Season 5 which came out last month. Again, I didn't watch the whole thing because I'm not as emotionally invested in this as I seem to portray in these posts.  So this was probably the most interesting season of the show, probably because there were a lot of characters that we know more about right now in 2022. There's a bunch of stuff about Princess Diana, her relationship with King Charles, their break-up and her relationships with some of the other men in her life. There's also stuff about Prince William and Harry growing up and some of the private family tensions. Overall, I would probably say this is the best season so far, even if the Royal Family said its a bunch of lies *rolls eyes* Well, this is my last blog post ig. I will probably not be finishing this show because there are probably a lot more shows out there that are more interesting and don't mo...

Queen Elizabeth Goes to the Moon

Image
I started watching Season 3 this week which was quite eventful and is probably my favorite season so far (I say this every time). I think the show definitely gets better as it goes. Anyways, this season is definitely a lot more narrow in the amount of time it covers - it goes from around the mid-1960s to the end of the 1970s. However, it is pretty chock-full of events so I'll just talk about a couple. Now, do you think that the moon landing was real? Were shots of Neil Armstrong bouncing around and planting an American flag all staged? Well, the creators of The Crown don't care because you get to learn a lot about Apollo 11, the mission to put a man on the Moon. I didn't know how much of a joint effort this was but I guess when you're trying to beat the Soviet Union, anything goes. There's also a weirdly large amount of scenes in Washington with American government officials (Washington? I thought this was supposed to be The Crown ). This part was actually really in...

It's Week 4 but I'm on Season 3

'ello everyone, I'm still on my journey of watching The Crown and I'm not going to lie, I'm both fed up with it at this point but I'm also still excited for what's next. Anyways, let's get into it! So this season covered a pretty big swath of time. I definitely felt like there wasn't as much of a balance of world politics and family politics that there was in Season 2 and we learned a lot about the various love triangles and Relationship Problems ® that various members of the Royal Family was going through during this time. We also see a lot of the Queen's children as they grow up, which was interesting although I'm not sure how accurate it is. I'm going to finish the season this week after I'm done with another wave of college apps .
